Hey all,
Insta-post. Prompted by my checking out the excellent Goodreads Best Noir link.

THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD
Because thinking about Noir/Pulp made me think about one of my favourite damned films ever, The Whole Wide World, I thought I'd give it a quick mention. (I admit, I am into hyperbole!) You may be able to YouTube TWW World for a taster. It's about the pulp fiction author Robert E. Howard (Conan The Barbarian) and is one of those amazing films that for some reason, never really seem to have gained the attention they should have. It's circa 1996, stars Vincent D'Onofrio (instant total bonus) and I think was the first starring role for Renee Zellweger.
Hugely recommended. It is a truly brilliant film. Yeah, I'm a film geek (hangs head in shame :-)
Ciao

HIS (The Hellfire Vampires Bloodline) new cover… Objects Of His Obsession.
Some people compulsively rearrange furniture, I occasionally look at covers I've done, and go, hmm…
So HIS has a new cover. I've popped the previous, replaced, one underneath, to save any confusion. Inside, they ARE the same book :-)
I've got to admit, I prefer the hyper-color one on the left, as much as I love classic black & white/sepia style cover work.
Hmm, what else.
At the moment I AM working on the second Hellfire Bloodline book, and having tons of fun with it. Easton is a wicked number & Grisha is a delicious beast to write. Well, they both are, together with the continuing story of Roark and Nix.
I do miss the world of Benedict & Evander (Objects Of His Obsession). I really did love them, and gave them the best HEA I think the times and the complications of their own lives made possible.
I am a total history nerd, and have long had a mad love affair with the Victorian era (from the start of that very short, grumpy looking queen's reign to its end … um, over sixty years worth, ending in 1901). Researching for it made me happy happy happy that Google was invented. I had a pile of books beside me and still found myself hitting it over the weirdest details. I was discussing it with a friend, and boiled down the multiple issues to one simple example … a character walks into a room. They want to turn on a light. If it's London, 1898, and you're loaded(with dough), no problemo. Electricity. You can even pick up a phone and call the short list of like minded people that also have one. Now you're in the country. Electricity? Gas? Rich? Poor? And if you're in Cairo, and not in the poshest part, Google will become your best friend.
I find that stuff fun but to others it would be about as lovely as the sound of a dentists drill. Anyways, hopefully the weird machinations behind the scenes don't show up when someone hits that switch.
Umm, what else? I was pondering, as ever, just how brilliant the TV show Justified is. It combines three things I find fabulous – Elmore Leonard, Timothy Olyphant, and Walton Goggins. And Timothy Olyphant gets extra cred for having been in the fabulous Deadwood. Yeah, and anyone who watched that show will know it had two catch cries. One was Swearengen!!! (loudly) and the other made a friend quickly give me back my DVD of the first season. She didn't want her small child's first word to be, well, take a wild guess, Deadwood fans. Yeah, you know, THAT word ;-)
Yeah, some blogs have great recipes (I can't do that, having refused to cook anymore after previous paid SLOG at the stove), some have inspirational GORGEOUS men – bless their hearts for it. I will happily blather about TV and film and post YouTube links to music I love.
Well, it's one in the morning here so I'm calling it a day.
Have a great weekend everyone, we're just finishing up Saturday here!

Cash: Angel, Demon, Rock Star (The Seven Deadly Sins .1.)
Cash, a Seven Deadly Sins story.
What happens when a raunchy, bisexual rock star is the prize in a battle between an angel and a demon?
They might start fighting dirty. Winner take all. With seven deadly sins to play with, it’s going to get creative. And Management may not approve.
Contains bad behavior, hot m/m action, and a lot of sweaty leather. Approx. 16,500+ words plus extra material.
Goodreads members, please check out Cash's Goodreads listing for a bonus free download, enjoy :-) Otherwise, scope Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, Kobo & iTunes for a little free short sweet sinfulness.

Objects Of His Obsession
Hello my lovelies,
Aaargh!!! Just pubbed, Objects Of His Obsession.
I find the Victorian's fascinating, so I had a lot of fun playing around in the late 1890's, plus researching the Egyptology aspects of the story. There are always a host of other things that have to be double-checked … although thank you Pinterest angels, it is the best way to instantly access inspirational images of the most gorgeous selection of vintage clothing. Of which all I can say is, corsets, FABULOUS! Not oppression for women! Just instant liposuction! Or at least the illusion of it :-) Bring them back!
Yes, I'm a little punch-drunk from 2am wrestling the Objects cover into decent shape. I'm happy with how the colours kicked though. And with finding a good match for the devastatingly sexy Evander!
I'll put the blurb in after, but as is my habit, I thought I'd share a music link.
I've had this playing some while writing, and LOTS while driving and thinking about these two guys, and for me it was a soundtrack to absolutely everything about Evander and Benedict. (It's Aqualash, by the way, and deliciously lush and utterly haunting).

I will be posting the Cash: 7 Deadly Sins story this weekend for download at Goodreads, so please grab a copy once it's up,
Have a fabulous weekend,

OBJECTS OF HIS OBSESSION
London, 1898
Lord Benedict Yeats has two obsessions.
One of which has a definite pulse – the seductive and beautiful Evander St John, Duke of Casterwell. A man he has a certain history with.
A man who tells Benedict that he has spent too long amongst sand and dead things. He might not be wrong. Casterwell’s world is one of sexual sophistication and games that Benedict cannot hope to match.
But when Benedict returns from working on a famous dig in Cairo, Casterwell invites him to a country house party that will change his life. An Egyptologist of growing renown, Benedict will also catalogue the famous Casterwell collection of antiquities.
And almost certainly, will become one of Casterwell’s string of lovers. But will he be the one to break through that glittering façade? Or will the scars of Casterwell’s dark, bloody past and his complex and fiercely deceptive private life tear them apart?
Warning: Contains two men wildly obsessed, a lust too long denied, hot m/m sex between a naive Egyptologist and one very determined duke, and absolutely no cursed tombs. Approx. 56000 words.

Hellfire Vampires News, HIS, & Goodreads 7 Deadly Sins
Hello lovelies,
A quick heads up… If you've been wanting to read start reading about the Hellfire Vampires Bloodline world, or have already done so, HIS, the standalone novel, has a sequel on the way. I've done some revisions to the text, and included the opening sequence of the Hellfire Vampires sequel at the end as a taster. The revised HIS will be pubbed in time with the following...
Within the next day I'll be hitting the publish button at Amazon on a historical novel I also really, really wanted to write. It wraps up all of my wild obsessions – Egyptology, history, verrry hot men – and deals with two lovers obsessed with each other and finding out just how the hell to find a HEA in the danger-ridden world of aristocratic and bohemian London … and Paris … and Cairo … of 1898.
Once I've gotten that out of the way, I'll be uploading a freebie for you guys on Goodreads, it's the fun rock star, 7 Deadly Sins story I wrote about in my last post. So it will be there by this weekend :-)
Because of the upcoming Hellfire Vampires sequel, and the historical about to be pubbed, I've unpublished the three interlocking novellas (His Claiming, Claimed, Bled & His, and His Claimed, His Consort) that went into HIS, with HIS (The Hellfire Vampires Bloodline) now remaining online as the standalone for that world till the sequel novel is released.
Well, other than writing news, just thought I'd mention a great movie we caught, Rush… And it is! If you're a Chris Hemsworth fan, you'll love it, and if you're a car bitch (as one of my friends lovingly called me, a label I wear with pride!) you'll love it too. Daniel Bruhl was equally great in it.
xoxo

Seven Deadly Sins & Next Stop
Me catching up… Last post I was in the middle of a story about the seven deadly sins. That’s done (claps hands, yay!!) and hovering about on a major set of big angelic wings, as opposed to cojones ;-) It will be released as a freebie on Goodreads, once I’ve finished the story I’m currently working on.
This much longer title is set in an English country house, places foreign, and features two intriguing, very opposite men. Oh, and Egyptology and obsessions... as one character remarks, echoing my own feelings on the subject, “I can always tell those marked by obsession. I truly pity those who live without it.”
Yeah, long live obsessions, carnal and otherwise, me getting the HEA pitched just right and final edits. It will be out in a week or two. Life domestically is chockas!
We’ve also been having bushfires here and the sky was hazy for days on end. At times you could catch the tang of smoke in the air. An ominous and terrible thing.
On a lighter note … talking of obsessions… Sherlock finally aired here. Do love me some Sherlock. And I had to love that HOW HE DID IT never was actually explained (clever bastards ;-)
The above paragraph will only make sense to those in the Sherlockian club. BUT, we’ve also been checking out tons of Supernatural here :-) Sam! Dean!
Just to finish this incredibly long-winded post …The photo is very Seven Deadly. Plus the guy has great ink. Disorder! And muscles.
*As ever, don’t forget to check out the Freebies page.
Lastly, a mood-setting soundtrack for you all … the maaaster, Tom Waits. Delicious.

Seven Sins & still counting
I love writing the Hellfire Vampires and will be starting on the next one shortly, but I did want to write a short story/stories that were fully self contained and based around the seven deadly sins (ever inspirational!), so I'm having a quick change of pace. I've almost finished one before I get back to all things vampire.
For those that have read either His or the Hellfire trio, I really do hope you got a kick out of them. It is a world I am continuing with and really enjoy creating.
I listen to a lot of stuff while I write and natch, the Stones Sympathy For The Devil has been a major one for this, but I'm in a seventies phase and this one I love and have played a lot as well ... enjoy some rare disco genius, my lovelies, and I will post once seven sins (1) is available. (I love Sylvester but can only say about the dancers at the start of the video that they add to the retro vibe!)
